Doc Supply Employee Undergoes Certification As A Ride Designs Custom Systems Practitioner
Jackson, TN, [February 18, 2024] – Doc Supply proudly announces that Lane Duncan, one of our Assistive Technology Professionals (ATP), has successfully completed certification training as a Ride Designs custom systems practitioner. This certification enables Lane to provide advanced seating solutions to enhance the lives of clients with complex rehabilitation needs.
The intensive three-day certification course, held at Aspen Seating and Ride Designs headquarters in Littleton, Colorado, equipped Lane with specialized knowledge in Ride Designs wheelchair cushions. These cushions are designed to off-load at-risk bony prominences while providing crucial support to other parts of the body. This approach improves postural control, mobility, and skin care for individuals using wheelchairs.
Lane’s training covered a wide range of topics, including early and late intervention seating strategies and the differentiation between traditional seating science and orthotic and prosthetic-based seating principles. The course also included a hands-on lab where Lane honed his skills in shape capture, accommodating growth and weight changes, and customizing Ride Designs cushions and backs for optimal comfort and support.
